Catching Up With the Boys-Part 3 Luke

Luke is nineteen months old. He is saying a few words and really into everything. He loves trains. He will go into Tyler and Jake’s room and play with their Thomas trains all day. He calls them ty-tys. I think Tyler and Jake, especially Jake are realizing how much fun Luke can be and are really starting to include him when they play. He loves his big brothers and wants to do everything they do. Luke is also in a phase now where he does not like to eat. It is hard to get him to eat anything unless it is a fruit snack. He will pitch a fit and refuse to eat. The other day he laid out flat under the dining room table and cried for twenty minutes because he didn’t want to come eat. God made him cute for a reason. I think he is starting the terrible twos a little early. He really is precious and a sweet boy. Just don’t cross him or he might hurl whatever is in his hand at the time across the room at you.

Catching Up With the Boys-Part 2 Jake

Jake is four years old and in the preschool program at our church. He has really enjoyed it, but is really looking forward to kindergarten when he can go to school and ride the bus with Tyler. He really looks up to Tyler and misses him when he is at school. Jake likes what Tyler likes. He is not as into sports as Tyler, but he is about as big of a Nascar fan as Tyler. His favorite driver is Jimmie Johnson. It is always a competition as to who’s favorite driver does better. Jake also loves numbers and asks to wear a number on his shirt every day. I should not even bother to buy him anything without a number on it. Every morning he will ask me if he is wearing a number and if Tyler has on a number that day.

Catching Up With the Boys-Part 1 Tyler

I wasn’t really sure how to start this whole blog thing, so I decided to write a little about each boy to catch us up to this point. I will start with Tyler. Tyler is almost 7 years old and in the first grade. His hobbies are sports and race cars. He played basketball this Winter for the Upward program and loved it. It was his first time to play on a team. He will start baseball in a few weeks and can’t wait. John will be coaching his team, the Braves. Tyler is also really into Nascar. He will literally sit down on a Sunday afternoon and watch the whole race. He even checks the newspaper on Saturday for the starting lineup of each driver. He knows them all and which number car they all drive. His favorite is Tony Stewart. He told me the other day that when he grows up he wants to be a race car driver and then he will be a coach.
